1: Yoko wants to help Mr. Nadio because he is the only person who is nice to Yoko at school. They have a lot in common, but especially the fact that nobody really tries to understand or be freindly towards them. They both seem to be outcasts in a way. They have seen true pain, and they both understand that about each other. She helps him try to speak clearer and stutter less.
2: I think Yoko realizes that Ko will do anything for her younger sister. I think Yoko sees that she means a lot to Ko , and that Ko really cares about her. Yoko's additude changes from thinking that Ko is just her sister, to really respecting and admiring her sincerely. She never really thought Ko would do something just fo her.
3: What do you think happened to Hideyo when he passed out at the farm? What do you think will happen next?
ANSWER: I think the people in the barn will take him in and give him a place to stay. I dont think that the people care about politics, they just want to make it through winter. If the people he encouters there are in fact Korean comuunists, I think its safe to say that he is pretty much done.

1. I agree because they both really are outcasts. But, I think that Yoko is really more teased and treated worse than Mr. Naido is, but they both are friends which is nice.
2. I think that Yoko realized before that her sister cared about her, just not that much, and I wonder why Ko didn't tell her what she was doing.
3. I don't even know if there will be people in the barn, maybe they got killed too. But if there are people there, I also hope that they will not be Korean communists.

1.) I agree it is nice that they are friend becuas ethey both need form each other and they both can us e each others hepl.
2.) I think the reason that Ko did not tell her is becuase she did not want to worry her about her not goingto school but wiping and shining shoes.

2)i bet Yoko respects Ko 10 times more now than when they were in koria. I agree that Yoko's attitude changed alot.
3)i think that the people who live their would help him survive the winter and then let him go during the summer.
