A: They see more soldiers raping those girls at the party. That would be a good enough reason for me to leave. The book says "The womens shrieks echoed" when the Korean communists are celebrating their independence. Thats really horrible if you think about it, it might seem funny but it wouldnt be funny if you saw it happen.
B: I think Hideyo would understand why they had to leave and would have done the same thing in their position. It was smart to leave when they did because the Koreans might get even more crazy and start killing people just for fun or because theyre drunk.

What would you do if you had to leave one of your family members behind? how would you react and feel?
If I was in the same situation as Yoko, Ko and ther mother, I would have done the same thing. I know that any of my family members would completely understand. I think it was smart that they left, even if it was really hard to leave someone behind.

1 a. I would also leave if I saw that happening to other people. I also agree that when you first read it, you understand how terrible it really is.
b. I would have left my house too, even if it meant leaving my brother/son there because it would either be my life, or possibly everyone alive at the end even though it took a while.
2. I would feel really sad if I had to leave a family member behind, it would make me feel terrible for leaving them. But at the same time, I'd pretty much have to.
1) i agree with you, that was horrible and no one should be going through that and it isn't really that funny.
B)i agree with you because thats about the same thing i wrote on my blog exept written diffrently. That is cruel if they start killing people just for fun.
2)i would be sad and i will regret it but if i wasn't in any danger, i wouldn't even do it.

1. I agree with Wade and Alex you can really picture how bad things were at that time.
b. I have to say that they really had no choice but they would have wished that they could have been together as family.
2. I think that it was the right thing to do for this dissition but every one knows that its very hard to leave someone that you love or care4 behide.

2. I would be sad, but I would force myself to run. I would hope that later we woud be reunited.
